Layout

House has two above-ground floors and one basement. The house is placed on the edge of a hill, and the 1st (lower) floor is partially underground. The house has a large backyard, as well as an accessible empty lot to the side of it.

Front Yard

The front yard of the house has a curved driveway leading to the garage and the front door, leading to the main entrance in the 2nd floor.

Second Floor

The front door leads to a small, L shaped hallway in the 2nd floor. The first, shorter part of the hallway has an entrance to the 2nd floor kitchen to the left and the 2nd floor living room to the right. The longer part, to the right, leads to the bathroom, sad boy closet, 2nd floor bedroom, and staircase to the 1st floor.

• The living room has a fireplace, 3 windows, and an entrance to the 2nd floor balcony.
• The 2nd floor kitchen has a U-shaped counter, as well as spots to place a fridge and an oven. It also has an entrance to the garage, as well as a couple windows.
• The bathroom is small and contains a counter with two sinks, as well as a mirror and bathtub.
• The sad boy closet is an extremely claustrophobic and small room. Only one or two people could fit inside in real life, and it is mainly there for comedic value.
• The 2nd floor bedroom is U shaped. The left side, looking towards the door, is noticeably longer than the right side. The left side has a closet, and the right side has a door leading to the bathroom.
• The 2nd floor balcony is connected to the living room. It is rectangular in shape, and does not extend past the house's walls, or the walls of the living room. It also has a staircase leading to the 1st floor balcony.

First Floor

The staircase in the 2nd floor leads to the 1st floor bedroom. There is also a door to the right of the end of the staircase, as well as a small hallway, which leads to the lounge. The lounge contains the lounge kitchen, and doors to the 1st floor balcony, office, and the basement staircase.

• The 1st floor bedroom is U-shaped, similar to the 2nd floor one. The left side is longer, and leads to the stairs. In the middle is the 1st floor hallway, which leads to the lounge.
• The lounge is a rectangular room similar in shape to the living room.
• The lounge kitchen is inside the lounge. It is much smaller in size than the 2nd floor kitchen, and has a tiny counter with a sink. The staircase to the basement is in this area.
• The office is a small, irregularly shaped room with a small window looking out into the lounge.

Basement

The basement has three large rooms: the staircase room, long room, and square room.

• The staircase room is the room that the basement stairs lead down into. It is rectangular in shape. The door nearest to the stairs leads to the square room, and the other door leads to the long room.
• The square room is square in shape. It has one door leading to the staircase room, and another leading to the long room.
• The long room is rectangular in shape. It has one door leading to the square room, and another leading to the staircase room.

Backyard and Empty Lot

The house has a very large backyard, including an empty lot to the side of it. There are no fences separating the backyard and empty lot.

Trivia

• House's layout is based on a real house.
• At night, knocking on the neighbor across the street's door will unlock the achievement 'Housewarming'. After knocking on the door, a dog will bark for a few seconds and all the lights in the house will turn on.
• When House originally released, it had a much different layout. The second floor staircase led down into a tiny closet, with two doors. The office was split into two rooms; a smaller office and a laundry room. The first floor also had its own bathroom. The basement didn't exist yet, and the door leading to the stairs instead lead to a boiler room.
  • When the Condo's layout was revamped, the boiler room remained until much later, when the basement was added.
