Instruments

Instruments are a special type of placeable item that players can use to play music using keyboard or MIDI input. There are currently 4 unique instrument types: pianos, drumsets, guitars, and drum machines. The MIDI Maestro item can be used to play multiple instruments at once.

Pianos / Keyboards

There are three different keyboard items: the Electronic Keyboard, Grand Piano, and Victorian Pipe Organ. Each piano has the same controls and number of keys, but each one has a unique set of sound banks, adjustable in Instrument Settings.

All keyboards are sold at Songbirds, but the Victorian Pipe Organ can also be purchased at Celebrations.

To press the black keys, press and hold shift, and then press the key to the bottom left of the black key you want to press.

Drumset

A drumset is available to purchase from Songbirds.

• To kick the bass drum, press space.
• To click the drumsticks together, press B.

Bongos

Bongos are a variant of the Drumset only obtainable through fishing.

• Press space to hit the rim of the bongos.
• Looking up and down affects the bongos' pitch.

Guitars

There are four types of guitars. Like keyboards, each one largely controls the same, but the number of strings and available sound banks varies per item. There are two ways to play guitars: playing individual notes and playing entire chords.

The Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, and Retro Guitar can be purchased at Songbirds. The Catsack Guitar is exclusive to the Anniversary Celebrations store, but it's just a reskinned Electric Guitar.

Notes

This mode is available for all guitars. Similar to pianos, each individual note that the guitar can play is assigned a keyboard key

Chords

This mode is available for all guitars except the Bass Guitar. You can create custom chords and save them to palettes to play them with a single key press.

Drum Machine

The Drum Machine can be purchased from The Asteroid Belt with Tickets.
