Appearance

Event Horizon is set in space. A giant black hole can be seen throughout the entire map. There are many floating, glowing orbs in the map, possibly stars, which are either holographic or solid. The small scale of the black hole and stars compared to real life could imply that the players and levels are actually extremely large.
