Desertion is a Virus map.

Layout

Desertion is a small town in a desert. It appears to be under construction, as there are a lot of boxes, pallets, and scaffolding around the town, especially at the underground tunnel.

The left side of the town is a mostly-empty area with some wooden carts in it. There' s a set of 2 doors that lead into a room with a shallow pool and the underground tunnel. There is another door further on that leads to a bridge and some scaffolding that descends to the underground tunnel.

In the center of the town, there is a fountain in the center with a couple of buildings around it. There's also a T-shaped alleyway scattered with boxes with exits to the left and right sides of the town, as well as the fountain.

In the right side of the town, there is a mostly open area with a car and a few crates in it. There's an entrance to the T-shaped alleyway in the back, and a road that ramps down into the underground tunnel. There's also a small balcony-like area with some boxes on it that has a doorway leading to a staircase to the tunnel.

The underground area is a large underground tunnel with tons of boxes and scaffolding in it. On the right side of the tunnel is the road and staircase leading to the right side of the town, at the center is scaffolding that leads to a bridge connected to the left part of the town, and the left side is more scaffolding leading to the room with the shallow pool.

Camping Spots

Spots players typically like to group up in as Survivors.

Town Right Side & Fountain

The right side of the town is a popular camping spot as it's very open and easy to spot incoming Infected. Players also usually camp at the fountain area.
