Knights (Little Crusaders)

Knights are one of the two playable characters in Little Crusaders.

Info

Every player but one is selected to be a knight; the other player is the dragon. The knights' goal is to deactivate the dragon by pressing the button on its back. The knights don't have any tools to assist them besides Birb and the sword in stone, so often times you will need to work together to distract the dragon and sneak up from behind.

If you are killed as a knight, you will come back as a ghost to spectate the round. Only ghosts can see each other; the knight and dragons cannot.

Abilities

Run

• Keyboard/Mouse: Shift

If the dragon is getting close or you want to travel a long distance faster, you can run. When you start running you cannot stop until all of your stamina is drained. You don't have to wait for the bar to be completely filled to start running again, but you won't be able to run for as long if it isn't full.

Jump

• Keyboard/Mouse: Space

You can jump to get over small obstacles, or to jump over the dragon's head. The dragon can counter this by using their tail whip, however.

Crouch

• Keyboard/Mouse: Ctrl

You can crouch down. While crouched, you can regain stamina faster, and crawl through small openings in the maps.

Interact

• Keyboard/Mouse: E or Left Click

You can interact to either press the dragon's button or pick up throwable objects such as Birb.

Rank Up

• Rank order: Esquire (Pink) -> Knight (Green) -> Baron (Blue) -> Count (White w/ Cape)

Pressing the dragon's button will increase your rank in the next round. Higher ranked knights have more stamina. Getting killed by the dragon will reset your rank back to Esquire.

Ghost Abilities

Fly

• Keyboard/Mouse: Space (Hold)

As a ghost, rather than jumping, you can fly up to the map's boundaries to get a good view of what's happening.

Float

• Keyboard/Mouse: Shift (Hold)

As a ghost, you can float at the same height you pressed the float button in to float at one height and keep walking around.

Drinks

• Rank Order: Nothing (Esquire) -> Mead Jug (Knight) -> Mead Jug & Chicken Leg (Baron) -> Grail & Chicken Leg (Count)

Your ghost will get food or drinks for the rank you were at when you died.
