Dragon (Little Crusaders)

The dragon, also known as Cornelius, is one of the two playable characters in Little Crusaders.

In each round of Little Crusaders, one player is selected to be the dragon. The dragon's goal is to kill every knight before the round ends; if the knights deactivate them the knights win, and if the timer runs out it's a draw. The dragon can kill knights by biting them or falling on them.

The only way for the dragon to be deactivated is by pressing the button on their back, getting hit by Birb twice, or being hit by the Sword in Stone (currently exclusive to the Mystic Grove). The dragon can defend themselves by whipping their tail to knock back knights, roaring to scare them away, or by flying away by pressing space while in the air.

Abilities

Bite

• Keyboard/Mouse: Left Click

The dragon's main form of attack is their bite. Biting will kill any knights near their mouth. It's mainly used for taking out one knight at a time, but if knights are clumped together, one bite could kill multiple of them. Biting can also be used to kill Birb. The dragon cannot move while biting, which can be used as an opening for knights to attack.

Roar

• Keyboard/Mouse: Right Click

The dragon can roar to scare any knights around them in a short radius. Scared knights will be unable to do anything but run for a short time until they calm down. Roaring is on an extended cooldown, so be sure to pick the best times to do it.

Tail Whip

• Keyboard/Mouse: R

The dragon can whip their tail. Doing this will knock back any nearby knights behind them. This move can also be done while biting, roaring, or walking. Tail whip is on a short cooldown, so the dragon can't just spam it to prevent knights from pressing their button.

Run

• Keyboard/Mouse: Shift

The dragon can run to catch up to or run away from knights. You can chain this with flying to quickly evade a group of knights. The dragon has limited stamina which is used up by running and flying, so they can't run forever.

Jump/Fly

• Keyboard/Mouse: Space

The dragon can perform a short jump. They can also fly by pressing the jump button in mid-air, though each wing flap drains some stamina. Flying works similarly to double jumping in other games, except the dragon can flap their wings until their stamina runs out. If the dragon falls on a knight from high enough, the knight will get crushed and killed.

• The dragon's name is Cornelius.
• The dragon heavily resembles the Ultimate Chimera, an enemy that appears in Mother 3.
  • This is likely because Little Crusaders is based on Ultimate Chimera Hunt, a Garry's Mod gamemode featuring the Ultimate Chimera and pigmasks from Mother 3.
