Bug Bytes is a two player game you can play at the Arcade in the Plaza.

How to Play

Bug Bytes plays very similarly to Whack-a-Mole, but can be played with two players. To play with somebody else, press E on the machine; the other player will have 5 seconds to join the game. You can also play alone.

To play Bug Bytes, left click to whack your hammer; the blue light below the hammer indicates what the hammer will hit.

Each bug (red) you whack gives you 4 tickets and 2 bonus tickets. Features (blue) will sometimes appear instead of bugs that, when whacked, will remove 10 tickets from your score and reset your bonus tickets. Try not to whack the features.

Trivia

• The desktop assistant (on the bottom left of the screen) gives you instructions in the Help menu. The instructions read, "DESKTOP ASSISTANT: Hey! Finally asking for help? :| DESKTOP ASSISTANT: This is a two programmer job. You'll both need to eliminate the red bugs with your hammers. Try not to hit the cute, blue features. :o DESKTOP ASSISTANT: As you conquer bugs, you'll have a better eye for more and more. Destroy as many as you can before you ship the game and release it to the public! >:D DESKTOP ASSISTANT: Good luck. :U"
• The OS on the Bug Bytes machine is meant to look similar to older OSes such as Windows 95.
  • The clock on the OS shows that the time is 4:53 PM on April 16, 1993.
  • The only app on the desktop is Tower Unite.

• There are five windows open on the screen. They are:
  • TU Messenger. There is a conversation open that reads,
    • "You: anyone want to help me debug the software on my Computer?"
    • "billy7: i dont know much about computers other thn the one we got at our house
